Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of SkuEstimator (the "Plugin"). By installing, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

SkuEstimator is a product of Modular Buildings Australia Pty Ltd, Queensland, Australia — ABN 56 680 040 313. Contact [email protected].

2. What you get

A SketchUp Pro plugin that reads dynamic-component attributes from your model and produces priced bills of materials, purchase orders, customer quotes and estimates — together with tools for component libraries, punching call-outs, colour resolution, pack rules, fail-safe validation, supplier price checking and an optional AI assistant. Automatic take-off requires your components to carry the relevant attributes; see the requirements.

3. Free trial

New subscribers get a 14-day free trial with every feature. A card is required at checkout, but nothing is charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and your card is charged A$99 + GST (A$108.90) per month. We (through Stripe) email you before the trial ends. One free trial per customer.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Price. A$99 per month plus GST, billed monthly in advance in Australian dollars by Stripe. GST is itemised on your tax invoice.
• Licence. Each subscription gives one person a licence for up to 2 computers. You can release a computer from the account page to move the licence.
• Cancelling. Cancel any time from the account page (Stripe’s customer portal) or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month, and you keep full use until then. We do not refund part-months, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires it.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe retries it and emails you. If every retry fails, the subscription ends.
• Without an active subscription the extension keeps working and your data is untouched, but exported documents carry an “unlicensed” watermark.
• Price changes. We will email you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.

5. Your data

Your models, price files, customers and estimates are yours, and they stay on your computer. We hold no copy and cannot access them. The one exception is the optional AI assistant: when you personally issue an AI command, the relevant component context is sent to Anthropic’s API to answer that request. We never sell your data and never use it to train models. See our Privacy Policy.

6. The AI assistant

The AI assistant is optional and requires you to supply your own Anthropic API key. You contract directly with Anthropic and pay them directly under their terms; we neither resell nor meter their service. Every other feature of the plugin works with no AI and no internet connection. AI output is a suggestion, not professional advice, and clause 10 applies to it in full.

7. Acceptable use

• Don’t reverse-engineer, repackage or redistribute the Plugin.
• One licence is for one person, on up to 2 computers. Don’t share your licence key.
• Don’t use the Plugin or its AI output to do anything unlawful.

We may suspend access for material breach — we’ll email first and give you a chance to put it right.

8. Intellectual property & licence

The Plugin and the SkuEstimator brand are ours. Your free trial or active subscription grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Plugin. SketchUp is a trademark of Trimble Inc.; SkuEstimator is an independent third-party extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Trimble.

9. Third-party components

The Plugin includes open-source libraries used under their respective licences; the applicable notices ship with the extension.

10. Liability

SkuEstimator produces suggested quantities and prices. You are responsible for reviewing every output before sending it to a customer, supplier or fabricator. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, our liability for any claim is capped at what you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes

If we change these terms materially we’ll email subscribers at least 30 days before the change takes effect.

12. Australian law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. The Australian Consumer Law gives you statutory rights these terms cannot exclude, and nothing here limits them.
