Provider & API Configuration

Choose the provider scaffold and store the API key the plugin should use for AI features.

Pick a cheaper model (Haiku/Sonnet) to save tokens on simple tasks.
Paste a key from console.anthropic.com. The plugin stores it locally for the current Windows user.
Optional — enables the mic button in the Terminal. Paste a key from platform.openai.com/api-keys. Used only for audio transcription (~$0.006/min). Whisper is the most accurate engine for Australian accents and construction vocabulary (itemcodes, supplier names, etc.). Leave empty if you don't want voice dictation.
Two ways to push-to-talk:
• In the Terminal, hold Space (input box focused and empty) — release to transcribe.
• Hold F12 anywhere (even while modelling in the SketchUp viewport) — global hotkey, doesn't conflict with any SketchUp shortcut.
When on, the Terminal auto-sends the transcript 800 ms after dictation finishes — tap Esc during the countdown to cancel and edit instead. Off by default so you can review and tidy before sending.
